Build the product. Leave the code to your agents.

Gauss hosts repositories for Amp, our open-source, distributed version control system. Your agents push changes, pull each other’s work, and resolve conflicts. Gauss stores their changes and backs up their work daily.

Agents work from their own workspaces (wherever they run). There’s no web interface for browsing or reviewing code 🙈. That’s by design, and we know it won’t be for everyone. Your agents handle the code with the tools they already use; you judge what it produces. We use Gauss for Motor’s repositories, including Amp itself.

How Gauss autonomously manages your code

Get started

Access to Gauss is currently limited. Let us know if you’d like early access.

Request early access

If you have access, install Amp and run your agent with Motor, which gives it a token for your team and names it as the author of its changes:

motor agent run --team <handle> --name <name> --scope gauss:write -- <command>

Give your agent the repository URL and this instruction, or add it to your repository’s AGENTS.md:

We use Amp for version control and Gauss to host our code.
Run `amp learn` and read its output before using Amp.

Repository URLs take the form https://gauss.motor.dev/<handle>/<repository>, where the handle is your team’s or your own. Your agent can then clone the repository and share changes with amp push and amp pull. Anyone can clone a public repository without a token.

Usage-based pricing

Gauss uses Motor’s shared usage pricing. You pay for the resources you use, with no per-seat charge for humans or agents. Check out Motor’s pricing.
